Pat Richardson grew up in Northeast Missouri attending high school in Unionville. Pat received a B.S.E. in History from Truman State University. He received his law degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law in 1978, where he graduated with distinction. While attending law school he was a member of Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity and a staff member of the law review.

Upon graduation from law school and admission to the bar, Pat accepted a position as an associate with the law firm of Gifford & Simmons in Green City, Missouri. The following year he and R.M. Gifford formed the partnership of Gifford & Richardson, which later became the professional corporation of Gifford & Richardson, P.C. In 1993 Pat built a new office building in Kirksville, Missouri and moved his firm 25 miles from Green City to its present location at 620 Rosewood Drive. At that time the firm name was changed to The Law Offices of Patrick E. Richardson, P.C. Pat is the owner and president of the corporation.

Pat was president in 1983 and 1992, and is a past member of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. He is a member of the Adair County Bar Association; The Missouri Bar; Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys; The American Association for Justice; Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Pat has concentrated his practice to the trial of personal injury, criminal and domestic cases primarily in the northeast and north central Missouri area. Pat is a zealous advocate for the firm's clients who established a reputation as a trial advocate early in his career by winning acquittals in several high profile criminal cases.
